On A Roll
The sorting series has a new addition! Lincoln loves things that GO. And he also loves playing with his big sister’s learning materials. The Counting Series of manipulatives are just a bit too small for him (a mouth explorer!) So I decided it was time to add a Toddler-friendly set to be used on their own or with the Color Sorting Bowls (sold separately). This has already proven to inspire a treasure trove of new pretend-play ideas from my six year old who likes to put the cups in a muffin tin and use these colorful spheres as muffin tops. My three year old pretends they are scoops of ice cream. And when left to enjoy the rainbow of 6 by themselves, my little engineers constructed ramps out of paper and cardboard to roll, slide, and spill these colorful balls to the floor. They are sturdy enough for little hands to fiddle with and durable enough to go sliding and gliding across the floor.
Each ball measures 2” in diameter and is painted with a nontoxic, soy based, watercolor wash so you can still see the beautiful grain of the wood. Each set comes with 6 balls; one each of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, and is lightly sealed with a combination of beeswax and jojoba oil. On a Roll is collected in a muslin pouch for easy storage and tote-ability.

This listing is for 1 Rainbow Ring - all the colors of the Rainbow are melted and mixed together in one Rainbow of a Crayon. A great shape to grab hold of, this crayon offers a myriad of ways to explore with color. Turn the crayon a little and scribble some more...like magic the color on the paper changes!
This Ring is made from repurposed Crayola Crayons, so the markings are smooth and the colors are vibrant. A dozen or so crayons are melted to make each Rainbow. Each is about 3.5" in diameter and about 3/4 of an inch thick. If thrown it may break. We keep ours on our Easel so it's available for color play in a safe tray.
These would make super favors for a birthday party. They would make the perfect "gift topper" for a fun addition to a gift box. They would also fit well in a stocking or make a great addition to an advent calendar. Available in multiples if needed. -

This cute collection was made for my little one as part of my nesting project when I was pregnant. I wanted something I could bring to the hospital with me. I wanted it to be something she could appreciate later, something to grow into. I remember a couple days after she was born I showed her the cards, made by Mama with love. It delights me to no end seeing my children play with things I’ve created. Her favorite one was the black/white/red with the bell inside. I don’t know if it was the sound or how the red popped with the black and white but she would stare and ogle it in the brief time she was awake (and not nursing!)
These Sight & Sound Sensory Cards were the perfect little something for my little one to “grow on”. Each part of this ensemble has a high contrast black and white print on one side – great for little eyes and growing brains. I would hang one from her car seat as a something fun to look at while we traveled – for the “Sight” component. The reverse side has one of six colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple. Each of the colored fabrics has a different look and feel – they are textured to add a “Touch” component. For added texture and play there are four coordinating colored ribbons hanging from the sides – perfect for little hands to find once finger investigation and coordination are the modes to discovery. Not only are they finger and eye-candy but, when you shake them, they each have a different “musical” sound. So, when little explorers become interested in cause and effect, it’s a great reward for moving hands. A grow-with-me toy, even still…the colors, textures, and sounds make great conversation pieces and vocabulary building. Circles, Squares, Diamonds, Colors, Numbers, Counting, and Sound complete this whimsically sweet Sensorial Set – sure to elicit a giggle and inquisitive fiddle from your little one.
Each part of this ensemble has batting inside to help it hold it’s shape and has been double topstitched for durability.
Each card can be hung from a stroller or car seat with a link.
Limited quantities are available. Once I run out, I may choose different colors/textures/patterns – however, the rainbow will always be represented and the reverse sides will always have a high contrasting, black and white print. -

This Spring I was looking little put together for my walking, toddling, curious, almost-one-year old. She loved playing with the Bambino Bamboozles - collecting the pieces, rolling them around in her hands, trying to put them together....so I decided to expand this lesson further and create a color sorting game. Hence the Sorting Eggs were made. She collects, rolls, and cups the eggs while I point out different colors and we try to "match" them.
Each little egg measures about 2” tall.
Each little cup is a little more than 2” tall.
Each piece has been hand painted with a nontoxic, soy based paint. They have been lightly sealed with a combination of organic beeswax and jojoba oil to keep the colors vibrant and the pieces durable. -
